We're Back in the Good Ol' U.S.A.!!

We had a great time on our vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico!!
Unfortunately, between the heat & humidity, everytime I tried to take pictures outside with my camera...something internally fogged-up and these are what the photos looked like. :( This particular photo is on the beach, under our little cabana! :)

These are a couple of the creatures they would put on our bed during the day...then at night they would remove them and turn down our bed and put out a chocolate & bottled water for each of us! :)


Our "jewelry" at the resort (a.k.a. our entertainment & meal ticket) :) These little red bracelets were very important -- if you lost one it could be quite expensive. The resort had 5 restaurants...Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Steak Restaurant, and a good ol' American burgers, hot dogs, pizza fries, etc Snack Shack. Also, with these bracelets we could enjoy the resorts entertainment. There was a Mexican Fiesta one night - complete with a Mexican flea market, a Circus De Soleil show, Karoke show, Mexican Dance Show, etc

Our dear friend, Christy L, came and stayed with our puppies, Lily & Daisy, while we were gone. She spoiled them rotten!! We were glad she could help us out while we were gone -- she did an awesome job! Thanks, Christy!!

Vacation!

We are in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a few days. Got here on Saturday about noon, and will be back in Kansas on Friday. It's been such a nice, relaxing time! We are staying at an all-inclusive resort so we don't have to worry about a thing...I could get adjusted to this!! :) Here's a few photos of our view from our room -- the beach is right behind the pool, but doesn't show up too well in these photos. Harvest time!

It's wheat harvest time in Kansas! Being from East Texas, when I moved to Kansas (almost 6 years ago)I had never seen wheat in the field or harvest. I am still intrigued by wheat harvest. There is so much that can be learned from the wheat harvest. There's nothing quite as beautiful as a field of green wheat blowing in the field, then when it ripens and turns golden it is even more beautiful.

More South Padre Island Family Beach Vacation Pictures!

We got back to Kansas last night at midnight! We drove from 7:30 AM until midnight -- stopped for lunch and couple of potty-breaks! We usually fly down to south Texas, and now we remember why! :)

"Gunkle", as my nephews call CJB, and Dave E & the boys went fishing one morning on the jetties. Each boy caught 1 fish. Their way of fishing is letting the adult hold the pole, then when something gets on the line, the boy gets to reel it in. :) Cute!





Cayden E went with us fishing, too -- but he was more interested in playing with his cars. :)


Brooke S, Blaire S, & Bryce E dug a deep hole on the beach, then filled it up with water. :) It could have been a kiddie-pool for Cayden. :)

While we were in south Texas, CJB and I drove to Progresso and crossed over into Mexico for alittle shopping. Always fun!


Here is CJB with the 3 Mexicans who helped us with our shopping, packing the items, and even brought it over the border for us and loaded it in our vehicle!

CJB's Uncle Oscar lives in Edinburg, TX...so we made the drive to see him & take him out for lunch!


We had a wonderful family beach vacation - and can't wait until 12 months when we can do it all again! :)

South Padre Island Beach Vacation

My family takes an annual Beeman Family Texas Beach vacation together every Summer. We arrived on South Padre Island on Saturday, June 7th and will leave to head back home tomorrow (Sunday, June 15th).
We have had an awesome week of sun, fun, & good visits. More pictures to come.... :)

Sad News

*UPDATE: Papa Carlile passsed away Saturday evening. The funeral is to be Tuesday, June 10th, at 10 AM at Tyler Memeorial Funeral Home in Tyler, Tx.

Our dear grandfather, Rex Carlile, is not doing well at all. Daddy & Mom, and Mom's two sisters & husbands are with him...as well as Hospice.
Have been thinking of all of them TONS!
Grandma (Odessa Carlile) passed away April 11, 2007.

Puppy Love!

I thought these pictures of Lily & Daisy were cute! :) They are great friends!! Daisy is Lily's sister's puppy -- so Lily is Daisy's aunt! :) Daisy just had her first grooming appointment last week, so now we can see her eyes. :)
Lily is 17 months old and weighs 6 pounds....Daisy is almost 5 months old and weighs 2.8 pounds.

You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!

We bought a 2 quart ice cream maker & have made peach ice cream three times recently, in it. :) YUMMEE! If you are looking for a small ice cream maker, we highly recommend this Cuisinart one -- very quick & easy.
