Labor Day Company

Daddy & Mom are with us in, KS for a few days. Saturday, we took them to the Underground Salt Mine in Hutchinson. It is 650 ft below the surface.
Here are some photos of us in our hard hats about to go underground... (The "strap" across our chests, is an emergency pack of oxygen in case something should happen while we are underground.... In 50 years, they've never had to use one, so we weren't too worried.) :)

Hole-In-One Contest

Saturday, Charlus sponsored a hole-in-one contest at our local Country Club. They played 18 holes, but on #7 Charlus had sponsored $25,000 for any hole in one. There were 134 people that pre-registerd for the event. There were two pretty close ones...one that was about 7 inches away from the hole and one that was about 4 inches away from the hole. Charlus was there for the one that was 4 inches away...he said it was pretty exciting.

Count Down...

I have been working two days a week, at an Orthodontic Office in Wichita, for almost 6 years now. I am currently working a little extra to fill-in there for a girl that is on maternity leave. About 5 weeks ago, I gave my resignation notice and my last working day will be August 28th. I have enjoyed my time in this office, and the girls are the best to work with!! I have been in the Ortho/Dental field for 20 years, so it will be an adjustment for me, but CJB and I have just gotten so busy with our business properties, etc that we feel it will be better for us, for me to stay home and be a full-time wife and do what I can to help out with property responsibilities, etc. I am looking forward to it -- 2 weeks to go! :)

Cozy Quotes...

I found one of my favorite sayings on a plaque in one of my favorite stores, Target. CJB hung it for me this week on an antique glass door knob. It is hanging beside my mirror. :) I love it!! It says ... "Love is not about who you live with... Love is about who you can't live without!"

Pretty In Pink

Lily & Daisy had grooming appointments this week, and when I picked them up they were pink head to toe! The groomer had put pink bows in their hair...and painted their toenails pink!! (You can see Lily's pink toenails in the 2nd photo.)
We got Lily in May of 2007, and got Daisy in April of 2008...Lily is 1 1/2 yrs old, Daisy is 6 months old now. :)

Birthday Boy

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY, CAYDEN!!
Cayden's actual birthdate is today, but his birthday party was this past weekend. My sister (his Mom) made his cake and sent us the pictures so we could share in his special day too.
Hard to believe our "baby nephew" is already 2! Happy Birthday precious boy!!
Also pictured in the above photo are Cayden's brothers: Bryce (will be 7 in December) and Dylan (will be 5 in December).
