Lily & Daisy are ready for the up-coming holiday, with their toys my sister, Renita, and her two girls, Brooke & Blaire, gave them! The puppies LOVE new toys, and they play with Santa and his reindeer quite often these days! :) (Although Daisy is quite preoccupied with her bone in this picture.)

Peppermint Bark

I made Peppermint Bark this week (Thanks Traci K, for the recipe!!)and it turned out wonderful...and so easy to make!!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

This is Lily & Daisy's doggy door, iced-up...the side that's in the house!! Do I need to say it...It's been COLD here! :)(And, no, we don't keep our house this cold...something about the indoor air mixing with outdoor air around the doggy door...) ... 3 degrees Monday morning, 7 degrees Tuesday morning, and a whopping 11 degrees this morning. :) Maybe tomorrow we'll hit 13! :) Not sure when the snow will get to melt....it sure is pretty! :) And, they do a great job of keeping the roads cleared...so it doesn't slow us down, much.

Happy Birthday Boys!!

My sister, Sheila, sent me these pictures from the boys birthday party, this past weekend, when they celebrated their birthdays together. Sheila usually makes them the cutest cake for their birthday, but this year the boys had seen a cookie cake they wanted.

Bryce's birthday is (tomorrow) December 11th - and he will be 7 years old.



Dylan's birthday is December 30th - and he will be 5 years old.

An Aunt's Bragging Rights :)

My sister mailed me this picture of me and my nieces when we were shopping over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, in Yoder (an Amish community) close to our home. Brooke (on the left) is 13 yrs old, and Blaire is 11 years old. Aunt T is proud of her sweet nieces! Can't wait to see them again at Christmas, in Texas. :)

WOW -- has it really been a month since I last posted...and, it's already December???
It's been super busy lately, here! I've been working some at my husband's office, while he is short-staffed there.
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving Day & company! On Thanksgiving, we went to Oklahoma City to be with my Dad's family, and Charlus' mother joined us, too. There were about 35 of us. We skipped the turkey & dressing this year, and since there is a strong Italian influence in our family (my Great Grandpa Russo was full-blooded Italian), we had spaghetti & meatballs, bushaloni, manicotti, garlic stuffed olives, etc, etc :) Then my older sister & two sweet girls came to Kansas to visit and SHOP, for the remaining Holiday weekend.
Sunday morning about 3AM, our dear 88 year-old friend (and our "Kansas Mom"), Noami H, fell and broke a vertebrae in her back. She is in the hospital, so we've been visiting her there several times day. The "bone doctor" should be in today, and we'll know more on what can be done. She is terrible pain, and very groggy from the pain meds. It sure hurts us to see her that way!!!

Soccer Games

While we were in Texas last weekend, we got to attend two of our nephews soccer games! We had never been there to see them play at their soccer games - what fun!
