Soccer Games

While we were in Texas last weekend, we got to attend two of our nephews soccer games! We had never been there to see them play at their soccer games - what fun!

A Weekend of Partying

We made a quick trip home to Texas to help celebrate two big birthdays....Dave's 40th & Brooke's 13th! :)

Bored?

It's been pretty busy around here...and maybe the puppies have been left alone alittle too much. Yesterday, I got home and found this mess...looks like they had fun entertaining themselves! :)


I'm pretty sure this one(Daisy) was the "instigator"...she gets into everything! :)

Thought For The Day

A very nice thought that was passed on at our annual church convention last week.... Anyone can be a Mother, but not everyone loves to be a Mother - it is a gift from God!
I had never thought about it like that, but there really is a huge difference in seeing a Mother, & seeing one that loves to be a Mother!!
Thank You Mom, for being an awesome, loving Mother!!

We're still "kicking".... :) Just got back from one of our church conventions in Kansas...had wonderful days there from Wednesday through Sunday. Now it's time to get caught up on wash & duties. :)

Eat Your Green Vegetables!

We had fresh green beans last night for dinner -- YUMMEE! There's nothing quite like fresh vegetables! I have to admit while de-stringing the beans, I had "flashbacks" from childhood when we would de-string bushels and bushels from our garden....it seemed like alot back then, but I'm sure it wasn't ... I haven't had to go to therapy over it! ;-)

Bigger means Better & Faster...

This entry is for the "male readers". :) This weekend, we traded in our handy-dandy Hustler zero turn mower for a bigger, faster Zipper mower. CJB and I mow six of our business properties ourselves, and we needed something bigger & quicker. After looking at many different models and brands, we decided this one best fit our needs.
And we also learned two things (1) Kansas makes many, many mowers(Hustler, Zipper, Grasshopper, etc) ... and (2) mowers are to have an increase in cost next year of 18%, so go buy a new mower this year & save $$ ... and help support the Kansas economy! :)
